Play our RNGdle-style daily number game

This is our own game, not the official RNGdle roll. One number a day, a range of 0 to 1,000,000, and a score built from patterns we can prove with exact counts — all running in your browser on this site. There is no account, no server round trip for your number, and no leaderboard. If you want the official game, the honest answer is one click away: play the official daily roll on rngdle.com.

The game

Runs on this site in its own frame below. Nothing you roll leaves this browser.

What the game does, in plain terms

Press the roll button and you get one number between 0 and 1,000,000 for the day. The number is worked out in your browser from today's date plus a random seed that is generated once and kept in this browser's local storage, so reloading the page shows the same roll instead of handing you a fresh one until tomorrow. That is the whole trick behind "one roll a day": there is no server holding your result, only arithmetic that a refresh cannot change. A practice roll button sits beside it for unlimited rolls that never touch your streak.

Every roll is then described by the patterns it matches, and each pattern carries its real rarity from the counts below. Two of those patterns are complements: a number either contains a repeated digit or it does not, so there is no such thing as a roll with nothing to say. Your roll is never sent to the API, never stored on the server and never attached to an identity — the history list at the bottom of the game lives in your browser alone, and the reset button clears it, seed included.

How the score is calculated

The score is our own arithmetic and it is deliberately dull: each pattern a number matches contributes its own "1 in N" rarity, and the score is the sum. A plain number that happens to have all digits different scores 6; add prime and it climbs; match a palindrome and it jumps to the hundreds; match repeating digits and it lands in the tens of thousands. The tier shown with your roll names the rarest pattern you matched rather than the total, because the rarest match is the interesting part: below 1 in 100 is Everyday, 1 in 100 to 9,999 is Rare, and 1 in 10,000 or narrower is Exceptional.

PatternValues in 0–1,000,000RarityShare of the range
Repeating digits451 in 22,2220.0045%
Consecutive digits651 in 15,3850.0065%
Palindrome1,9991 in 5000.20%
Prime78,4981 in 137.85%
Contains a repeated digit831,4301 in 183.14%
All digits different168,5711 in 616.86%
Digit sum divisible by 9111,1121 in 911.11%

Those counts are not estimates: they come from evaluating all 1,000,001 values in the range with the same definitions the rest of this site uses, and they are recomputed from scratch on every build, so a wrong figure fails the build instead of shipping. The pattern list is exactly the one the calculator and the number analyzer report, which is why a roll here and an analysis there always agree.

What this game is not

Being clear about this matters more than being exciting. Our game has no EP, no badges, no rarity tiers from the official game, no daily reset schedule tied to any account and no leaderboard. It cannot tell you what the official game would have given you, because the official scoring rules are not public — this site marks them as unverified rather than guessing, and the guide to what RNGdle publishes records what is public, with dates. If you want the real thing, including its accounts, its streaks and its leaderboard, play it on rngdle.com; our tools then help you take that number apart afterwards.

One practical consequence: because our roll is derived from a local seed rather than a server draw, someone who clears browser storage can roll again the same day. This is a game about curiosity, not about anti-cheat, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise.

Ways to play with the number you rolled

A roll here is a starting point, and everything below works on the number you were given:

Common questions

Is this the official RNGdle game?

No. It is our own game with our own scoring, built on this site. The official game is at rngdle.com, and the link above opens it. We are not affiliated with RNGdle and do not present our rolls as official results.

Why does refreshing not give me a new number?

Because the number is derived from today's date and a seed stored in this browser. That is what makes it a daily roll rather than a random button. Practice rolls are the mode that changes every press.

Do you store my roll?

No. Your number is computed in the browser, and the history you see is your browser's local storage. Clearing it, or pressing reset inside the game, removes the history and the seed. The server never sees a roll from this page.

Where does the rarity come from?

From counting. Each pattern's value count covers all 1,000,001 numbers in the range, so "1 in 1" for a repeated digit and "1 in 22,222" for repeating digits are exact statements about the number space, not probabilities pulled from the air.

Can the score be improved by rolling again?

Only in the sense that any random draw can differ from the last one. There is no strategy: the range and the definitions are fixed, and the only way to change a roll is to change the number. Practice rolls exist so you can watch that happen without waiting a day.

Why is there no leaderboard or EP?

Because we would have to invent them. The official game's EP formula and tier thresholds are not published, so any "official-style" score here would be a guess dressed up as a fact. Our score is arithmetic we can show you line by line, and it says so on every result.

Does the frame need permission?

No, and that is the point of this version: the frame loads our own page from our own domain, so there is no third-party request, no consent banner inside it, and no dependency on another site's settings. Earlier versions of this page framed the official game; this one deliberately does not.
